 OUr Stages Explained

  • Your journey to exceptional lighting design begins with a tailored fee proposal. We carefully analyse your plans to provide a comprehensive cost outline, reflecting the unique scale and scope of your project.

  • Once you are happy with the associated costs we will have an initial project meeting.
Here we will discuss various details including:

    The Project brief
Architectural features, furniture layouts and finishes
    Lighting control options

  • Following the initial consultation, we will develop a comprehensive CAD plan, including a detailed specification and quotation based on our tested, trusted and favourite lighting fittings from various brands. This will encompass all architectural fixtures, drivers, and smart controls if you opted for this option. We will communicate with your interior designer about decorative fittings. It is always up to you weather you choose to proceed with us as your supplier.

The specifications and plans provide complete technical information, organised by room and circuit.

  • Once the concept and budget has been approved, we will create a detailed drawings and specification.

These detail the precise location of each fitting, the types of lights and lenses used, as well as the necessary driver and control details. This everything your contractor will need to implement the design alongside our onsite support.

We will liaise with your electrical contractor at the point.

  • As the project starts on site, we will produce a final version of the approved project documentation for the onsite team to carry out the installation. This incorporates the latest project information from all other designers and contractors and are sent to them to sign off on to ensure they are all accurate and current.

  • We always strive to plan ahead for all circumstances but as work starts on site it is common that revisions are necessary especially in renovations.

This ensures that the lighting design always stays aligned with the most current interior design and architectural details.

  • When the contractor is ready for the fittings or control system to be delivered to site, our supplier will process your order and get it shipped to site.

Meanwhile we will address any technical questions to help ensure a seamless installation. To facilitate the process, all orders are organised by circuit and room for easy onsite installation.

This approach saves time and simplifies the job for your electrician while preventing loss.

  • If you need help finding an electrician, sometimes we can help by recommending someone who is used to doing this kind of work.

  • Commissioning is one of the most critical phases of the process, often overlooked in other places

During this phase, we ensure that all lights perform according to their design specifications.

Additionally, we assist in setting up and programming your control system if installed. This will ensure the best results and get the most from your Lighting design and control system.

  • When we are finished and we are all happy with the design, we will hand it over to you.
We will walk through the house and remind you of the reasoning for each lighting circuit and when you might like to use them.

We will also talk you through the control system if installed and ensure you understand how it works and if you wish how to do edits to scenes without the need to call us back in.

  • The technologies we use are very reliable and long-lasting. That being said, technology can always go wrong and LED lights do have an extended life span, however, they will eventually stop working. With this in mind, we are always here for you if this does happen to you.

  • To create the optimal lighting scheme, we need the most up-to-date information as listed below:

    - DWG floorplans and reflected ceiling plans with comprehensive details, including furniture layouts

    - Elevations of the rooms we are going to work on, if available

    - Kitchen plans and elevations

    - Relevant joinery details

    - Detailed interior and landscape design package

    - Landscaping plans

    - Artwork locations and dimensions

    - Details on any AV/HVAC systems being used

    - 3D models or illustrations for renderings
